Youth Sports Camps

There will be 8 weeks of Sports Camp in 2007. The camps offered next summer include Field Hockey, Super Sports, Co-Ed Basketball and Volleyball, Boys only and Girls only Basketball, Flag Football and All-Star Basketball.

For a new feature we are working on holding all Field Hockey and Flag Football camps at an outside local ball field.

Camp Allen

Camp Allen will again be helf for all ten weeks of summer 2007. Weekly themes for summer 2007 include some favorites from last year like "Space Explorers" and "Around the World" and some new themes like "Flashback Week."

Camp Allen's mission is to provide fun and safe summer experiences to kids between the ages of 5 and 14. We provide daily arts & crafts, physical activities, values education and enrichment (including math, writing, science and more). This summer Camp Allen will focus on a balance of enrichment, hands-on games and projects.

Camp Allen is also offering a few specialty weeks this summer including "On Broadway," a week focusing on drama and music as well as a week devoted to the fine arts (drawing, painting, etc.). All Camp Allen sessions, including specialty weeks, will include enrichment balanced with hands-on learning.

Camp Apex

Camp Apex will again hold four 2-week sessions next summer for campers aged 5 (if child has attended kindergarten) to 15. The themes for each session are as follows: Session 1 - "Stars & Stripes Forever;" Session 2 - "Apex Circus;" Session 3 - "Space, the Final Frontier;" and Session 4 - "Medieval Times."

A new High Adventure Tribe will be offered for campers ages 12 to 14. This tribe will focus on all the fun things about camping. Campers will learn wilderness skills, fire building and outdoor cooking plus enjoy their favorite Apex activities.

We will also offer new Portable Challenge elements for ages 8 and up and a new BMX Track for ages 10 and up. This summer 3 new one-week specialty camps will be offered: dance, fine arts and playground theater (using the well-known Playground Theater Program). In addition we have completely restructured the LIT and CIT programs. Apex - always getting better!

Gymnastics & Mini Gymnastics Camps

Gymnastics Camp will retain many of the fun things from last year but will be adding some specialty camps and a new dance teacher. There will also be lots of opportunities to ring the bell or "caught in the act."

The new Specialty Camps include Dance Camp, Cheer Camp and a goal oriented Gymnastics Camp for improving skills and moving up a team level in the fall. These camps are available to mini campers as well as regular campers.

The new ACRO Camp is specially designed for those who have participated in Gymnastics Camp for three or more years. These campers will be able to use tumbling and mini tramps as part of their camp experience.
